Open Model Call : Horses + Equestrians

I’m currently casting horses (with and without their humans) to model in upcoming creative photoshoots at the photography retreats I host. These sessions help create curate content for multiple photographers’ portfolios while giving the models stunning photos in return.

I am especially looking for the following —

• flashy paints

• dark palominos

• leopard and flashy colored Appaloosas

• all draft horse breeds — especially riding drafts

• miniature horses and small ponies

• Friesians, Lusitanos, and Andalusians

• horses comfortable going in water

• horses trained to perform tricks such as rearing on cue, laying down, bowing, etc.

• horses used in sports like mounted shooting, mounted archery, trick riding, fox hunting, polo, etc.

Other requirements include:

• horses must be relatively calm and comfortable with small groups of people with cameras

• able to travel to locations if needed

• generally well behaved and safely handled in new/different environments
  

Because capturing the connection people have with their animals is high priority I would prefer the people applying also have interest in modeling alongside their horse in the shoots. If you do not wish to model with your horse though simply state you are submitting your horse only in the model form.

This is open nationwide for upcoming retreats however I am specifically looking for those able to model in Iowa first!

PLEASE NOTE!! Submitting the form does not guarantee you will be selected, but it helps me keep a list of horses I can contact when the right concept comes along. I will only contact individuals who complete the form if their horse is a good fit for a specific shoot — my brain will not remember if you message me or only comment here.
